Washer problems we fix
Washer faults usually trace back to the drain pump, the door or lid lock, the belt, the suspension or the control board. Gideon has over 15 years of experience with front-load, top-load, stacked and compact washers and knows the weak points of each brand.
Tell us the brand and the symptom, and we give you an estimate by phone. The price is confirmed after the diagnosis, before the repair starts.
-
Won't spin or drain
The drain pump, a clogged pump filter or hose, the lid or door lock, the drive belt or the motor coupling.
-
Leaking water
The door boot (gasket) on a front-loader, the inlet or drain hoses, the tub seal or a cracked pump.
-
Loud banging, grinding or squealing
Worn drum bearings, suspension rods or shock absorbers, a loose counterweight, or an unbalanced load.
-
Won't start, or stops mid-cycle
The lid or door lock, the control board, the timer or the user interface.
-
Not filling, or filling slowly
The water inlet valve, kinked hoses, clogged inlet screens or the pressure switch.
-
Clothes come out soaking wet
A spin problem: the drain, the belt, the motor, or a drum that is overloaded.
-
Error codes (OE, UE, F21, E2 and others)
Each code points to a group of parts. We read it and test the component before replacing it.
-
Burning smell
Stop the washer. A slipping belt, a seized pump or a motor fault is the usual cause.
How a repair visit works
No surprises: you know the cost before we start.
-
1. Call or send the form
Tell us the brand and what the washer is doing. We go over the service-call fee and an estimate by phone and book a time, often the same or next day.
-
2. Diagnosis at your home
The technician tests the washer, explains what failed and confirms the repair price before any work begins.
-
3. The repair
Many repairs finish on the first visit. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you the lead time and schedule the return visit.

Questions about washer repair
Is my washer worth repairing?
A pump, lock, belt or valve repair on a washer under about ten years old is usually well worth it. Drum bearings on an older front-loader can cost more than the machine is worth, and we tell you before you decide.
Do you repair stacked and compact units?
Yes, including stacked washer-dryer towers in closets and compact 24-inch washers in apartments.
Why does my front-loader smell?
Residue in the door gasket and the drain pump filter. Clean the filter now and then, wipe the gasket, and run a monthly hot cycle with the door left open afterwards.
How soon can you come?
Same-day and next-day appointments are often available on weekdays. Call or send the quote form and we confirm a time.
