Dryer problems we fix
Most dryer calls are about heat or airflow: a heating element, a thermal fuse, an igniter on a gas dryer, or a vent so restricted that the dryer overheats and shuts off. Gideon has over 15 years of experience with both gas and electric dryers, stacked units included.
You get an estimate by phone before the visit. After the diagnosis, the price is confirmed before any work starts.
-
No heat
The heating element, a thermal fuse, the high-limit thermostat, the igniter or gas valve coils on a gas dryer, or a blocked vent.
-
Takes two cycles to dry a load
A restricted vent, lint build-up inside the dryer, a weak element or a moisture sensor fault.
-
Drum won't turn, the motor hums
A broken belt, worn drum rollers or idler pulley, or a motor that is failing.

How a repair visit works
No surprises: you know the cost before we start.
-
1. Call or send the form
Tell us the brand and what the dryer is doing. We go over the service-call fee and an estimate by phone and book a time, often the same or next day.
-
2. Diagnosis at your home
The technician tests the dryer, explains what failed and confirms the repair price before any work begins.
-
3. The repair
Many repairs finish on the first visit. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you the lead time and schedule the return visit.

Questions about dryer repair
Why does a blocked vent matter?
Lint in the vent cuts the airflow, so the dryer runs longer, overheats and trips its fuses. It is also the leading cause of dryer fires. A slow or overheating dryer gets its airflow checked during the diagnosis, and we tell you if the vent needs cleaning.
Do you repair gas dryers?
Yes. Igniters, flame sensors and gas valve coils are among the most common gas dryer repairs.
Is a dryer worth repairing?
Almost always: belts, elements, fuses, rollers and switches are inexpensive, and dryers last 15 years or more. A failed motor or control board on a very old dryer is the exception, and we say so.
How soon can you come?
